Metallica has joined the increasingly desperate search for a US student who was last seen at one of the band’s concerts six days ago.

Morgan Dana Harrington, 20, has not been seen since she became separated from friends at the metal band’s concert in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday night.

As police continue to probe hundreds of potential clues, Metallica has thrown their celebrity behind a publicity campaign being spearheaded by Ms Harrington’s family and thousands of people online.
